Back Bay Contracting is a full-service design-build company serving the coastal communities of Southwest Florida for two decades. Specializing in new construction, renovations, and recreating beautiful, functional living environments, each and every project is executed to the highest level of quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Founded by Ian Samph and his wife Serena who later joined the team, Back Bay Contracting focuses on customer satisfaction and precision results. With a combined experience of over 45 years in Construction and Interior Design, Ian and Serena manage each project with the same care and diligence as they do their own home. Their business has experienced continued success attributed to the strong relationships and the positive reputation they have built in the community over the years. Transparency and strong communication are their foundation for every successful project. Together Ian and Serena leave no stone unturned.

When they're not working on client's projects, Ian and Serena enjoy boating and the Florida lifestyle with their two young daughters as well as working on their own personal building projects.

Ian Samph

OWNER+HEAD OF CONSTRUCTION

Ian has worked on many notable residential and commercial construction projects in South Florida and prides himself and the business on high quality standards and integrity. He is both a Licensed Building Contractor and a Licensed HVAC contractor with a multi-faceted background in structural steel, commercial construction, residential remodeling, new home construction, air conditioning/indoor air quality, and every trade in between. Ian plays a hands-on role in the construction aspect of the business, ensuring his team's competence and completion of every project to the highest quality standards. Having started in the construction industry as a teenager, his expertise are unrivaled.

Serena Samph

CO-OWNER + PRINCIPAL DESIGNER

Serena joined the team ten years ago bringing her design expertise and exceptional problem solving skills. Prior to partnering with her husband Ian, Serena worked as a designer for a leading Naples, FL design firm. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design, and has a keen eye for detail. From the first meeting and evaluation to the last finishing touches, she facilitates the design, planning, logistics, and project management to ensure that the finished product is both beautiful and functional. She has worked on many high- end residential projects of various styles in Sanibel, Captiva, Fort Myers, Naples, Bonita Springs, Cape Coral, and surrounding areas, as well as out of state projects in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Germany.
